Developing a plan to improve priority & low-performing schools

On September 9, 2014, Dr. Jesse Register set an ambitious goal for the district: no priority schools within three years. In setting this goal, he outlined a list of ideas to address all low-performing Metro schools, broadening the focus from the 13 priority schools to all schools performing in the bottom 25 percent district-wide. The proposal was centered around three strategies: Turnaround Plans, Conversions and and an East Nashville Plan. Read more
