Shereka Roby

Shereka Roby is a product of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools where she attended Maplewood Comprehensive High School. At Maplewood she was a member of the following teams: volleyball (2 years), basketball (4 years), track (4years), and a majorette in the band (2 years). Shereka then accepted a full ride track scholarship to Tennessee State University’s prestigious “tigerbelle” track team. There she competed in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump for four years, earning three OVC championships. After graduating from Tennessee State in 2005 she began her career at W.A. Bass Middle where she remains today. She currently teaches sixth grade math, science, and social studies. She also is the girl’s volleyball coach and the boy’s track and field coach. She is currently working on her Master’s in Education and Administration at Tennessee State University and will be graduating August 2008. Along with teaching, coaching, and attending school, Ms. Roby plans to marry in March 2008, where she will become Mrs. Roby-Grant.
